James Liu @ Veggiesomthing brings us the story of Di Di and Mei Mei from the House Of Liu. Set during the era of the Qing Dynasty in China, the Manchurians rulers were constantly facing rebellion from the Chinese people and hence banned the practice of all form of martial arts. One of their biggest threat was the House Of Liu which was famed for its swordsmanship. So one night the Manchurian Army set off to ambush the House of Liu and killed all its residents. Unbeknown to the army, there were 2 best friends who were out of the house at that time and they were Di Di and Mei Mei. When they both returned and saw the destruction and death of their family and friends, they both swore revenge in the name of the House Of Liu. They vowed to ‘Protect and Destroy!’.

Di Di and Mei Mei were the original characters brought to life in the form of vinyl by toy manufacturer Crazy Label.

Being too lonely, they were followed suit by various design of Shaolin Monks. The latest addition to the House of Liu collection are the bad guys – the Qing Soldier and Qing Pirate. The Qing Soldier comes in a limited edition of 400 only with bendable ponytail and hand-woven hat while the Qing Pirates is super limited with only 100 pieces in circulation.
