Noferin is the collaboration of husband and wife  - Nick and Candy who created Pecanpals. Pecanpals are 9 friends with their own unique and special characteristic.  Surely we can see a reflection of ourselves in any one of these characters. There’s sweet Pandacake who has a heart of gold, Pecan the friend you can always depend on, bubbly Fanelli who’s full of adventure, Periwinkle the animal lover, Milo who sails the seven seas, the classy showman Junee, Fimble the inventor, daredevil Rumbi who loves to fly and finally Jac Jac is the scientist who’s only interested in facts.

The Pecanpals was designed in Australia and started at end of 2008 as limited edition wooden figurines crafted from sustainable rubber wood and was so well received all over the world that it was sold out within days of its launch.No two Pecanpals look the same. They are entirely hand made. It was inevitable that such charm and cuteness was soon to be translated into soft cuddly plush toys to be enjoyed and loved by children of all ages. The plush is ASTM and CE certified for all ages.  Pecanpals™  was shortlisted finalist for DTA Best Plush Design, 2011.

About the Designer

Candy has a background in art, design and visual communication (Bachelor of Design | Vis Com; Honors First Class in Design | Vis Com; Monash University). Candy has always loved to draw and paint whimsical characters. She especially loves working with her husband, bringing the Pecanpals stories to life. Her heroes include Tove Jansson, Beatrix Potter and Hayao Miyazaki.

Nicholas has a background in writing, with interests in environmental science and design. He occupies his days writing stories for his wife to illustrate and moonlighting as a climbing gym for his daughter. His heroes include A.A.Milne, Wes Anderson and John Steinbeck.
